Calendar Description / Prerequisite / Co-Requisite

This course introduces students to graphic anthropology, defined as the use of visual techniques in the practice of anthropology at any stage of the research process: when conducting ethnographic fieldwork, when analyzing data, or when disseminating anthropological knowledge. This course will draw on graphic ethnographies and traditional text-based sources to cover key aspects of theory and methods in anthropology and to explore in-depth several current topical areas in Anthropology. The course involves creative, hands-on components.


Course Start Up

Course Websites hosted on York's "eClass" are accessible to students during the first week of the term. It takes two business days from the time of your enrolment to access your course website.
