This course introduces current issues related to gender relations from a critical human rights perspective. It explores gender and interpersonal relations, and concepts of love, historically and through contemporary lived experience. Themes include the influence of language on gendered encounters, the importance of respect and equity in interpersonal relationships, and the rise of misogyny through technologically mediated forms of communication.Course credit exclusion: SOSC1920 6.00 Male-Female RelationshipsNote: Approved SOSC General Education course for AP. This course will not count for major credit in HREQ.

Course Start Up

Course Websites hosted on York's "eClass" are accessible to students during the first week of the term. It takes two business days from the time of your enrolment to access your course website.
