This course examines 'family' relations as sexual relations and the ways in which the 'family' is un/intelligible outside of sexual discourse. It investigates how familial relations are regulated through sexual discourse vice versa. It critically interrogates normative meanings of family and sexuality and how these meanings over-determine the limits and possibilities of our bonds, desires and (dis)affections.Pre-requisites: SXST 1600 9.0 or SXST 1601 6.0 or GWST 1501 9.0 or GWST 1502 6.0
