General historical and thematic survey from the medieval period to the present. The basic tools of literary analysis are emphasized. Students enrolled in a Major or Minor in Italian Studies may be required to complete some coursework in Italian language. Previously offered as: AP/IT 2200 6.00.

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
