This course deals with linguistic descriptions of the Italian language: its sounds, morphosyntactic features, lexicon, texts and varieties. It provides an overview of linguistic theories as applied to Italian. It requires students to engage in linguistic analyses. Previously offered as: AP/IT 2100 6.00. All Italian terminology and terms will be explained and translated.

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
