This course provides students with a critical introduction to research methods in sexuality studies. Focus is placed on queer methods used by scholars in the social sciences, humanities, and the fine arts. Ethical questions relating to research design, power, identity, gender, normality, objectivity, and knowledge production will be a focus of investigation. Course credit exclusion: AP/SXST 4601 6.00 (prior to Fall 2011).

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
