Calendar Description / Prerequisite / Co-Requisite
This course teaches the fundamentals of modern Greek: the writing system, pronunciation, basic forms and syntax. It also introduces simple conversation, reading and writing. Note: Not open to students who obtained their high school graduation (apolytirion) from Greece and Cyprus, nor to students with Grade 12 U or M Modern Greek (or equivalent). Course credit exclusions: None. Prior TO FALL 2009: Course credit exclusions: AS/GKM 1000 6.00 and AK/AS/GK 1410 6.00 (prior to Fall/Winter 2002-2003).

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
