Examines social science scholarship on law's role and operation in contemporary society through attention to topics such as political economy; conquest and domination; state and nation building; immigration and refugee determination; oppression and racism; rights; moral regulation; legal theory. Course credit exclusion: AP/SOSC 3370 6.00.
