Travel writing is one of the most popular professional writing genres, coming in an astounding variety of subgenres and reaching wider and more diverse audiences. In this course, students read examples of contemporary travel writing, exploring critical, theoretical and rhetorical considerations of the genre, and produce their own travel writing through a process of planning, in-the-field research, peer-review, and revision. Open to: 3rd and 4th year Honours students in Professional Writing or English & Professional Writing

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
