The course examines violence, torture and inhumane treatment understood as health issues and as issues in international human rights. It engages with survivors' experiences in countries of origin and the human costs and challenges of the entry process in Canada.Prerequisite: 24 credits

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
