Calendar Description / Prerequisite / Co-Requisite
Examines the Charter in relation to the question of fundamental human rights and equity in Canada. Because that question/debate invariably exceeds national borders, the course situates the Charter in the larger context of an international human rights discourse. Thus, the Charter is compared to prominent international human rights instruments such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Corequisites: AP/HREQ 2010 6.00
